The Group operates a group Finance function based out of head office in Leicester, accounting for both manufacturing and buy/sell operations for own brands and private label customers in wholesale and retail clothing markets. The role forms part of a small team of multi-skilled finance people who manage the transactional finance and production of robust financial information for the whole business. There are many stakeholders both within and outside of the business who rely on the service, accuracy and efficiency of the Finance team and this role is pivotal in dealing with customers, suppliers, shareholders and other stakeholders. Due to the size of the team, this role (and all the other roles in the team) is expected to be flexible regarding responsibilities to ensure that delivery of team goals are met.
2. Purpose

Assisting with the robustness and completeness of all financial transactions to TB level for all group companies, getting co-operation from internal and external contacts to be able to process documentation and ensure that the business records accurate transactions. Providing cover for the payroll function, purchase ledger and sales ledger. Dealing with contacts face-to-face, by phone and e-mail (or other written media) in a professional and appropriate manner. Other financial/administrative duties as required to fulfil Finance team goals.

Primary
- Responsible for the fixed asset register and depreciation charges
- Record accurately and efficiently the accruals and prepayments for PAN UK
- Assist the Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations for PAN UK
- Assist in the preparation of PAN UK accounts to TB
- Responsible for the preparation of accounts to TB for Pantherella USA
- To produce weekly payroll BACS and associated paperwork for approval, ensuring appropriate authorisation and checking timesheets for completeness.
- Reconcile the holiday pots on a monthly basis so at the end of the holiday year balancing holiday payments are correct based upon claims and accrued holiday for the year;
- To reconcile and oversee the petty cash (including foreign currency advances) utilised for the business, ensuring authorisation and documentation are in line with policies;
- To process credit card expenditure and personal employee expenses through the Continia portal checking the cost and VAT split against uploaded receipts, and to chase and escalate any overdue costs
- Responsible for RGR reconciliation and reporting

Due to the size of the company and the Finance Team, this role has many stakeholders inside and outside of the company, including but not limited to, the managers and authorised signatories of the group, the Directors, the shareholders, the suppliers and employees, the bank and finance providers, the auditors, any contractors appointed by the organisation to review costs and services, tax authorities and government bodies.

The role holder needs to be AAT intermediate level (3 or above) and will have some industry experience as detailed below.
2. Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Accounting industry experience where they have routinely assisted with month and year end activities.
- Payroll experience preferred but not essential
- Above average excel skills

Salary and benefits
- Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience), payable monthly on the 15th day of each month.
- The business is happy to support further AAT study (expense and leave). The salary will then be up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience).
