The Pantherella family is excited to announce the refresh of the Scott Nichol brand, starting with the Autumn 2024 Scott Nichol collection. Originally founded in the 1930s by John Scott-Nichol in Leicestershire, we will carry that history forward, with design and development still taking place at our Leicester Headquarters for the very best in British design.
The Pantherella family is excited to announce the refresh of the Scott Nichol brand, starting with the Autumn 2024 Collection. Originally founded in the 1930s by John Scott-Nichol in Leicestershire, we will carry that history forward, with design and development still taking place at our Leicester Headquarters for the very best in British design.
The Scott-Nichol family has a long and rich heritage of textile expertise alongside centuries of experience in the Scottish wool trade, tracing their descent from Sir Walter Scott. John Scott-Nichol himself was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry in World War I and served as a captain in the Shepshed Home Guard in World War II. The brand remained a family concern until the mid-1970s and stayed in private ownership until 2006, when it became part of the Pantherella family. Using generations of knowledge and a clear commitment to longevity, we continue to produce the highest quality men's and women's socks.
The new Autumn 2024 Scott Nichol collection illustrates our transition into a more contemporary preppy style, while reintroducing our iconic women's collection alongside the men's new styles. Featuring thick boot socks, cushioned sports socks and mid-weight designs, Scott Nichol's new Autumn collection takes influence from sporty British pastimes including tennis and rugby.
Scott Nichol socks have always featured the highest quality yarns, and this is a tradition that we will carry forward, hearkening back to the Scott-Nichol family's experience in the Scottish wool trade. These luxurious yarns are as at home in our modern, block-striped cable knit socks as they are in our traditional argyle patterns.

Scott Nichol's classic Crest for Quality will remain part of our brand identity. Though we've modernised the text logo around our website and on our packaging, the traditional Scott-Nichol family crest maintains its position of authority as a symbol of our heritage and an assurance of quality. You will find it embroidered in honeyed gold on some of our Autumn styles, including Harlow, Frankie and Taylor.
The Crest for Quality also represents Scott Nichol's commitment to sustainability. Through our use of organic cotton, fully recyclable packaging and long-lasting materials, we continue to strive to lower our ecological footprint. Through these means, we endeavour to be a brand that can make a difference.

To celebrate the relaunch of Scott Nichol, we held a Press Launch event at Kettner's, London. Photographed by the fabulous Brit Bones (@incaseofbrit), we presented our new collection amid a backdrop of classic Georgian furnishings.
